England lose again

Despite a wonderous century from Kevin Pietersen, England stuttered to 247 all out against Australia. At 161-2 at one point, a score of 300 looked on the cards, but accurate bowling, and a clever bit of captaincy from skipper Ponting, expertly restricted the English batsmen.

So, after the incredible last ball defeat by Sri Lanka, England need to beat Bangladesh (conquerors of India and South Africa), South Africa and finally the West Indies, to stand a chance of making the semi finals.

Unlikely then, but so many players have mis-fired, at some point they need to produce the goods, and if they do, you never know, England may yet sneak into the Semis !
