I have changed the background of this Blog to Black as a mark of repect to the ex England test batsman, Bob Woolmer. My initial happiness that Ireland overcame the odds to beat a start studded Pakistan team was brought in to stark contrast by the sudden death of their coach, and all round good egg, Bob Woolmer.
Our thought's go out to his family at this time.
Someone once said, "Cricket isn't a matter of life or death, it's more important than that" - they were wrong.
